We are thrilled to release our interview with Mr. Seedy Saidykhan. Mr. Saidykan is a Gambian who embarked on an irregular migrant route to Europe. Thus, Seedy is one of the few irregular migrants who survived the dangerous journey. Currently, Mr. Saidykan is a journalist and human rights activist regarding migration issues in Germany.

Mr. Jalamang Fatty is from The Gambia and has experienced many difficulties in life. Due to financial constraints, he could not receive a proper education. Jalamang embarked on an illegal migration journey towards Italy in the hopes of finding a better life.

Dr.Momodou Sallah
Professor & Youth Activist

Dr. Momodou Sallah (PhD, MPhil, MA) is a professor of Teaching and Learning, director of the Centre of Academic Innovation, and a lecturer in Globalisation and Global Youth Work at De Montfort University in the UK.

 

Throughout his career, Dr. Sallah has been dedicated to raising awareness of the positive impact global education has on young people. He is also the founder of Global Hands, a social charity company operating in the Republic of The Gambia and the UK and focuses on capacity building and social good.

 

One of Dr. Sallah best sellers is called “Global Youth Work: Provoking consciousness and taking action”

 

He has been recognised for his significant work and received a National Teaching Fellowship from the UK Higher Education Academic in June 2013. Additionally in November 2015, he was named the “most innovative teacher” in the UK by the Times Higher. Dr. Sallah shows how we can support others to Turn Dreams into Actions.

Mr. Omar Saine
Teacher

Mr. Omar Saine is a young Gambian intellectual. He comes from a low-income family and has experienced many hardships. Despite this, financial constraints never prevented Mr. Saine from continuing his education. Through hard work and dedication, he won a scholarship to study a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Economics at the University of Gambia.
